City Hires New Transportation and Mobility Planning Team

Ease of mobility and greater access to mass-transit options throughout Westminster are a priority for the City.
Access is typically one of the top two or three criteria businesses use to select a location. With the high level of development activity in Westminster, including two major development projects, the city has created a new transportation mobility team.

Team objectives will be to ensure that residents, employees and visitors in the city will be able to move about quickly, pleasantly and safely using a balanced mix of transit, bicycling, walking and automotive. The team’s number one objective is to prompt extension of commuter rail to Downtown Westminster at US 36 & Sheridan Blvd.

Debra Baskett, 303-658-2129, and Gabriella Arismendi, 303-658-2613, comprise the city's new transportation and mobility team.  Baskett is a veteran mobility leader, manager and advocate in the metro Denver area while Arismendi has broad experience in transportation and mobility planning, mostly in Florida.
